Are you one of the lucky ones, who has a dishwasher? Not me…
No matter how much I update this townhouse kitchen, it will probably never have a dishwasher…
and forever be dependent on a dish pan, or two.
It does have central air conditioning, though. That I could not live without.
But as I digress, when we finished the over-the-sink shelf
I was beside myself with all of the pretty possibilities one could place atop a window shelf,
but reality set in. Space saving and functionality have taken pretty’s place.
Enter a couple of plastic dish pans
That I tried, as I might, (with metallic hammered copper spray paint for plastic)
to make look something like this ~ burnished copper.
But ended up looking something more like this ~ copper painted plastic.
I did give them a little more dimension with antiquing polish, but let’s be honest….
A plastic dish pan… is a plastic dish pan… is a plastic dish pan!
Nevertheless, I placed them strategically above the sink.
One is for dishes and bowls, one for cups and glass.
They have been serving their purpose to help keep the dish clutter off the sink area…
How could I complain?
I did so happen to add two more small additions to this little kitchen zone.
One of which is a little something vintage and funky with soup cans.
Thanks for stopping by…. and thanks for listening to my dish pan woes ~ Amy

Such a great idea! I thank goodness every day of my life that we have a dishwasher…because every time we go camping and I have to hand wash multiple times a day…I begin to plan meals with less and less dishes for the next camp out. I think they look pretty good up there. Great job! Thanks for stopping by the cafe, too!!! We LOVE YOU!!!
