I’ve been looking for a way to put some of my vacation photos and videos into a shareable format that had a little pizzazz. Only I really haven’t had to time to add my own flare. I had heard about an app called Magisto, so I finally gave it a try and hey, it’s pretty cool.
I chose some photos from our Nashville trip, selected a theme and some music and had the Magisto app do the rest.
You would do the same steps if you were using video rather than photos.
This one was made using video footage from our trip to New England last fall.
As you can see this video is rather blurry, right? When I look at my original footage, it was not blurry at all. I’m thinking it’s because the video has been sped up, but I’ll have to investigate the options on the app, hmmm??
The app is free, so there are limitations on video length and how many photos you can use. But they also offer a premium which runs about $20.00 a year which allows you to make longer videos, more photos and several other features.
I haven’t signed my name away for the premium just yet, but I would imagine the free version would come in useful for making videos for birthdays, teen sports, day trips, family night, your favorite fur babies and much more…
For example, DIY.
I guess you could say this one above is officially my first DIY video.
Once upon a time, I attempted to make a video on “how to make a card board box lid”. It was really kind of a disaster. I kept forgetting my lines, there were about a million pauses, simply UGH all around.
But when Magisto put it together for me, it actually kind of looks exciting… even if you can really tell what I’m doing by watching the video.
Trust me, the Magisto version is much, MUCH better than my droll tutorial.
You can also download it to YouTube, as I did so that I could share it on the blog, but you don’t have to.
This is not a sponsored post, but I guess what I’m trying to say is the potential is there for a lot of fun to be had with this free app and I just wanted to share.
In other news:
Ken and I have been getting a lot done around the house, but we had some bad news once again just a few weeks ago when we found out that Rich passed away suddenly. He was one of Ken’s very close friends and he also stood up in our wedding.
This past weekend his wife, Jamie, came to spend the weekend with us and we had a great time cooking and reminiscing over old photos. Please keep Rich and Jamie and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
I hope you all are having a great week ~ Amy
