Appsolutely Refreshing Apple Banana Cinnamon Smoothie

Apple-Banana-Cinnamon-Smoothie

Don't toss out those overripe apples and bananas! Make yourself a healthy fruit smoothie instead.

This delicious blend includes vanilla and cinnamon. So refreshing, and you'll never know the fruit was past its prime.

Ingredients

  • 2 overripe apples, peeled and quartered
  • 1 ripe banana (or overripe banana), sliced
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup Almond milk (or yogurt, or milk)
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions

Mix all ingredients together in a blender or smoothie machine.

Serve right away or chill for an hour in the fridge to infuse the flavors (aka: avoid an ice cream headache.)

Sweeten to taste with stevia or monk fruit, if desired

Notes

Other options:

Substitute ½ cup frozen blueberries, mango, or pineapple for the banana and omit the cinnamon.
