It’s Total Culture Tuesday and the girls are having a party!!!
My sister holds an annual bonfire every October. Last year’s was no exception. We had plenty of music, food and spirits, and a gorgeous fire. We told jokes, shared stories and enjoyed a long night of fireside comradery. It was a chilly night and several of us were wearing scarves and warm sweaters. We all took the time to compliment each other on our fashionable fall attire.
Here’s my sister and I warming up inside, notice the color matched, knotted scarf ensemble?
No one had to know that earlier that very day I was hard at work,
making Pickled Fingers and Boo Cookies…
…while dressed in a flannel get up, looking something more like this.
That particular scarf has kept me warm on many a night at home,
where a matching ensemble just isn’t necessary.
I’m not actually working on this buffet, just yet.
I’d been delaying this vintage Sears and Roebuck buffet project
that belongs to my brother and sister-in-law, for fear I’d ruin it!!
and delaying the buffet project some more one morning,
while wearing my Christmas robe and jazzercise pants.
Eventually I changed out of the robe and jazzers,
took the plunge and started adding some stain to that buffet.
Looking good…
…the buffet that is…
my style, not so much!!
Rolled up black jeans, brown socks and stained tennies…
there’s only one place this outfit can go from here…
… into the fire…
