Step 1:
Make your own storage box with lid, or use left over computer paper boxes, or pick up some pre-made boxes from your local office supply store.
Step 2:
Paint your boxes. You can roll it on or spray it on. Now is your chance to use up that extra paint you might have laying around. You can paint both the inside and the outside, or just the outside, it is up to you. You can even color co-ordinate.
Step 3:
Add handles. To make holes for your handle, use a tool such as an awl, pair of scissors, or needle nose pliers.
To add handles, measure and mark a distance about 3-4 inches apart on opposing sides of the box.
For the handles, I used black cable ties, but rope or twine will work, as well.
Thread through your handles and secure ends together.
Step 4:
Add labels or label the boxes using puffy paint, especially if it is for the garage or work shop. This will help you find what you need when the time comes.
I hope this sparked some ideas for storage and de-cluttering.
