Here is an easy and delicious treat to serve at a party or give as a gift to teachers, neighbors, co-workers, and the like. You make them with Mint Oreo cookies and they are kind of like Oreo Balls, but can be made in less than an hour. They’re easy enough to make that kids can help, too.
White chocolate dipped Mint Oreo cookie treat
You can fill a small treat bag for a simple, affordable, homemade gift. Fill a cookie tin for that special someone, or serve at a party on a pretty platter.
Ingredients:
1 bag of Mint Oreo Cookies
1 bag white morsel chips
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Melt your white morsel chips and oil in a small bowl in the microwave for 1 minute. Remove bowl from microwave and stir well. If you see that a few of the chips are still not melted, then melt in microwave at 10-15 second intervals, remove and stir well, until fully melted. You do not want to over cook the chips, so stir plenty to see if chips melt the rest of the way before heating again.
You can also melt on the stove in a double boiler, if you choose.
Once your chips are melted, dip your Mint Oreo cookies in halfway, pull Oreo up out of sauce and let excess fall off. Place on wax paper lined cookie sheet. Once you have a full sheet, place cookie sheet in freezer to set (15-20 minutes).
