Sending Out an SOS to Thirty Birthdays

The beginning of July is always a busy time around here. Of course we celebrate the Fourth of July, but we also celebrate our wedding anniversary and my son’s birthday. His birthday celebrations aren’t what they used to be since he became an adult; however this birthday is a little more special since he is turning the big 3-0!

It’s hard to believe that this little bundle of cuteness and wrinkles

is hitting his first over-the-hill milestone.

Once upon a time, I was documenting those special childhood moments,

like the first day of school,

His first fishing trip.

 

As he has grown up, he has had plenty of birthday parties,

And plenty of hair styles for his future children to make fun of one day.

Like this one on his 21^st birthday.

There have been several birthdays in between that have not been so celebrated, but for his 30^th he decided he wanted to go fishing. No surprise there. I’ve posted of his fishing obsession in a few projects, like the Ombre Dot Canister Set.

This is no ordinary fishing trip either. He has already been deep sea fishing, so this time around he wanted to go charter fishing on Lake Michigan. Since he flew back in from Georgia this weekend, and with the knowledge that he won’t be around as much for a while, some of his family and friends are joining him on the six hour excursion. Oh, and I’ll be there, too!!

Here is to my son on his 30^th birthday. 

May the fish be biting and the waves not too choppy!!!
