Copper and green…
I’ve seen this combination a few time before, thought it quite pretty and knew I had to try it myself. With a few décor beauties from the Goodwill, a few family heirloom-like pieces and a few added craft store decorating essentials, I was able to mix and match until my heart’s content. A touch of St. Patrick’s Day, a touch of Easter, a touch of spring to bring down my fever… oh, so clever, but here we go…
These sparkly copper leaves from a “decorating” Christmas past…seem to just pop against all that green.
My dad’s old oil can… might the purest copper for miles…
A basket made from inverted “decorative moss trim” and fastened with an old copper knob…
Filled with some “paint splatter textured” dinosaur eggs (aka: foam balls) click here if you want to see how I made them.
A bundle of old candles wrapped in copper craft wire…
Some how they look anew, all wrapped in copper.
My mother’s copper fondue pot…
Very cherished!
A handmade glazed pottery piece, signed “CAR 99”…
It’s quite interesting, and even a bit Celtic, perhaps.
A green glass decanter…
Not sure what…
I’ll have to research this piece sometime.
Thank you for taking a peak at my copper and green, inspired by BHG, March of 2004.
I’m sure I didn’t do it justice, but I had a blast, just the same.
