I don’t travel nearly as much as I would like to, and I certainly didn’t get to make it down to the Haven Bloggers Conference last weekend, much to my demise. So a group of us bloggers, 24 to be exact (list here) lead fearfully by Julie at Lilacs and Longhorns decided to pull together a little tour of our blogs. We are all featuring our favorite projects just for fun or for pity sake, take your pick! Here are a few of mine. As I mentioned, since I don’t get to travel as much as I’d like, I have developed a vivid imagination to compensate; and my projects are often inspired by places I have been to, places I want to go to, or places I may never get to.
A Fifth Avenue hotel, overlooking Central Park at dusk:
Transforming storage into lighting
Vintage Paris as Coco Channel is putting final touches on her newest fashion:
Salvaging my mother’s sewing buttons
The ceiling in a favorite restaurant from my college days:
Recreating texture on storage
Humid summer nights, watching golf balls disappear
into the darkness at the forest preserve driving range:
Salvaging an item in reminiscence of a friendship
A day at the flea market:
Recalling those old wooden, labeled crates
Travels yet to come:
Utilizing reminders and inspiration
********
I’m feeling rather intellectual and deep at the moment, but it’s really pretty simple.
Weaving stories of experiences and travel into my projects is one of the things I like to do most.
DIY and craft bloggers aren’t all alike. Each and everyone have their very own style, personality and passions. So, come on and take a tour by following along below.
